Penny Plautz

By day I am a college administrator so I can support my writing habit.  What I’ve learned from being around students is we’re never too old to learn or become the people we  imagined we could be.

Although I consider myself an early adopter on most things, it often takes me longer to embrace other things, like marriage, home ownership, and braces.  So I find myself at midlife, engaged for the first time, considering braces, and blogging about home improvement projects and the adventures that await me now that I’m a certain age.

These stories of a lifetime are my attempt of making sense of my journey so far and seeing midlife as something to be celebrated instead of denied.  Some of these stories are recycled stories from my former e-zines Everyday Alchemy ,  A Penny for Your Thoughts, Stress Less Living, Body Confidence, and Read It and Leap.  Yes, before blogs, e-zines ruled the internet kind of like disco once ruled the dance floors.

What you’ll find here is a mixed bag of my experience as a fitness professional, health and wellness consultant, creativity coach, continuous spiritual seeker, wannabe stand up comedienne and musician, nature lover, companion to canines, and matchmaker.  My stories make their way across the country and back with some curious stops in between.

Here’s hoping this creatively quirky combo will spark some recognition, humor, insights, and I-can-so-relate moments for you.

Thanks for stopping by.   Your comments and suggestions are always welcome.

I’d love for you to visit my other blog where mojo meets momentum and we discover all kinds of ways to get our groove back at midlife.
